A Matter of Perspective

Due to responses from certain relatives/friends on our mailing list, we have decided not to write this blog from Toby's perspective. In an effort to be sensitive to everyone's feelings and to avoid alienating anyone, we will continue from the perspective of whomever is writing a particular posting.

However, please do not misunderstand, we love our little guy and although we will no longer use Toby as our means to communicate, we are still his groupies. Thus our blog name will remain in tact: Toby's Groupies.

And now, without further ado, here is a special treat for Toby's other (unmentioned in the previous posting) groupies:

Toby's Groupies Introductory Posting

My name is Toby and around here I'm the top dog. Ok, that's a little cheezy, but you have to understand that I come from a long line of cheezy. First you have mommy. That's what I call her; you probably call her Mel. Unless you are that little turd that popped up in the middle of May, then for some reason, you feel the need to call her Mommy too. I digress... First you have Mommy who is one of the sweetest, most giving people in the world, but is seriously lacking on the cool scale. By default, she is cheezy.

Moving on, you have Daddy. His cool factor is actually pretty high, but every once in a while he throws us a cheeze-bomb from out of left field. Sometimes we just look at him like he has lost his mind. Other times we give him hugs and kisses to let him know we think he is sweet, but understand is complete inability to sensor his cheeziness.

We also have the girls: Dani and Jessi. Dani is probably the least cheesy of all of my groupies, but she's like Daddy, she just throws it out there every once in a while and we wonder how she maintains the cool factor at all. Jessi's cheeze is different in that she generally comes across as sweet when she is being cheezy. Now, I don't know if this is due to her age and that as she gets older we will see it as sheer cheeze or if it's just part of her personality. I'll have to keep you posted.

Ok, those are my groupies. Well, I guess I might have another groupie, but we are still working out the details. Like I said earlier, I don't like sharing Mommy, but he's cute, so I might be able to deal with it. Really it all depends on how things go as he grows. I mean if he pets me and plays with me then we are all good. I'll have to keep you posted on this too...

Here are the most recent pictures of Dani, Jessi, and that new one... I guess they call him Cooper or Coop or something like that. Whatever...

This is Dani eating chocolate cake. If it wasn't chocolate, she would so be sharing it with me.

Jessi built a fort out of pillows. I hope she does this at home sometime.
This one was at a hotel and I wasn't able to make it on that trip.

Here's that Cooper kid. I guess he's cuter than daddy, but we're still waiting for the verdict on whether or not he's cuter than me. Personally, I don't think it's even close...
